Segment one: the simulcast feed
A simulcast operated by Clinton Raceway lets people wager on races from tracks across North America. Gateway does not run it; Clinton Raceway Inc., owner of the Standardbred harness track at 129 Beech Street, does. The simulcast is not under the same roof as the slots. It is based on Huron Fish and Game Club's premises, 278 Alma Grove, Clinton.
Gateway Casinos Clinton takes no race bets of any kind. Wagering on races goes through Clinton Raceway, at the track on race days and at the off-site simulcast. A bet on a race and an hour at the slots are planned around two different addresses.
Segment two: the simulcast week
The simulcast at 278 Alma Grove keeps these hours, in Ontario time. Monday to Thursday, it runs from 4 PM to 10 PM. Friday and Saturday stretch from noon to midnight. On Sunday the hours are 1 PM to 7 PM. It opens 364 days a year and stays closed on Christmas Day.
A Friday or Saturday leaves room for both stops. You can spend the afternoon at the simulcast and the evening at Gateway Casinos Clinton. The slots there run from 9 AM to 1 AM every day. Holiday hours at the casino are not posted, so call 519-482-7540 before a holiday visit.
